ULAANBAATAR, 22 March 2023 – Associate Professor Ts Dr Mohd Zairul bin Mohd Noor from the Department of Architecture, and Head of Cyber Generation Laboratory at IPSAS was appointed as a visiting professor at CITI University, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia last week. During his visit, he introduced his teaching methodology, S.O.L.E., which recently won the CADE award for best practice among the faculties at UPM. This methodology has been well received, and there is a passion for implementing advanced training to train all design-related courses throughout Mongolia, not just at CITI University.

In addition to the S.O.L.E. methodology, Dr. Zack also introduced ways of conducting research and publishing papers using research tools such as Mendeley and ATLAS.ti. News of his visit and the introduction of this valuable skill was broadcast on Mongolian national television. Dr. Zack has received greater recognition from the university for his contributions.

Overall, Dr. Zack's visit has been successful, and his expertise in teaching and research has left a positive impact on the university and the wider academic community in Mongolia.
