COMPETENT HUMAN RESOURCE STUDY OF THE NATIONAL ANTI-DRUGS AGENCY

12 March 2026 – A research team from the Institute for Social Science Studies (IPSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was invited to present the findings of a study entitled “Competent Human Resource Management Study of the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK)” to the Director-General of AADK, Dato’ Ruslin bin Jusoh, as well as the agency’s top management during the AADK Main Management Meeting (MPU) No. 1 for 2026.

The presentation was delivered by the Lead Researcher, Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif, who summarised the key findings of the study, including the profile and projection of AADK’s human resources for the next 10 years, findings on appropriate right-sizing based on workload, the level of officers’ readiness, and proposed new strategies to enhance human resource management.

It is hoped that the findings and recommendations of this study will serve as evidence-based inputs to strengthen management decision-making and human resource planning within AADK, while further reinforcing the agency’s role as the primary implementer of the national drug policy that remains resilient and relevant in the coming decade.
