SERDANG, 22 August – Institute for Social Science Studies have conducted an intellectual discourse through FB Live, in line with the social distancing practices as one of the SOP in combating with CoVID 19. The topic discussed is about the solidarity values among Malaysian Youth during Movement Control Order by the government to reduce the number of COVID 19 cases, by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanina H. Hamsan. The recorded video has been viewed by 1, 095 viewers.

According to Dr. Hanina, in 2030, it is assumed that youth will dominate the national leadership pattern and country vision. Thus, it is important to explore the solidarity values of Malaysian youth nowadays, amidst uncertainty and challenging situations. Before the pandemic, the world is now adapting to a new environment, which is volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity. In the session, she also shared some of the important findings of the research. The value of trust and confidence of youth in a government effort to combat the COVID 19 pandemic shows a higher index value.
