2 October 2025 - Delegation from Malikulssaleh University (UNIMAL) Lhokseumawe Aceh Indonesia, namely Dr Mursyidin, Dr Teuku Zulkarnaen, Dr Naidi Faisal and Dr Mulyadi to the Institute of Social Science Studies (IPSAS) UPM.  The UNIMAL delegation was welcomed by the Deputy Director of IPSAS, YBrs Dr Jeffrey Lawrence D'Silva.  The visit from UNIMAL was in conjunction with the UNIMAL and IPSAS community projects in Kampung Aceh, Yan District, Kedah Darul Aman. This project is led by PM Dr. Haliza Abdul Rahman (IPSAS) and Dr. Mursyidin (UNIMAL).

During this visit, a discussion was held on the direction of the Kampung Aceh community project with the hope of extending this project in various activities in order to preserve the cultural history and traditions of Aceh in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Also discussed were future research projects within the scope of youth and community development.

Also detailed is the plan to hold a writing and research workshop between IPSAS and UNIMAL.
