UPM SERDANG, 30 August 2023 -The IPSAS webinar series organized by the Institute of Social Science Studies (IPSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia continued with the title 'Youth and Patriotism: Joints to Stability and the Core of Malaysian Identity'. The panelist for this session is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Associate Researcher of IPSAS/FPP Lecturer/Principal of KOSASS UPM and moderator by Dr. Ahmad Aizuddin Md Rami, IPSAS Thinker/FPP Lecturer UPM.

According to Dr. Mohd Mursyid, young people are the mainstay of the development and integrity of a country. He added that the aspirations of young people are a send-off to the stability and core of Malaysian identity. Among the issues discussed by the panelists was the involvement of young people in the use of technology including, the internet and social media which led to the fragility of the spirit of patriotism. In addition, the panelists also clarified the role of young people in ensuring economic and social stability.
