UPM SERDANG, 7 September 2023 - The Institute for Social Science Studies (IPSAS), UPM has organized the Youth Leadership Expert Conference Series 2/2023, with the title Peranan Dalam Memaknai Kemerdekaan di Era Baharu, at Youth Arena, IPSAS, Putra Infoport.

The expert conference was led by Prof. (R) Dato' Sri Zaleha Kamarudin, and the panelists were Dr. Jufitri Joha, Chairman of Benevolent Malaysia and Dato' Dr. Hjh Wasitah Haji Mohd Yusof, Field Specialist in Youth Development and Recreational Sports.

According to Dr. Jufitri, youth leaders must think like philosophers to find the meaning of forming idealism as an axis. Youth leaders also need to act like activists to translate meaning into action as output and outcome.  This expert conference was attended by 30 participants from various youth agencies including Adab Youth Garage, Gabungan Pelajar Islam Se-Malaysia (GAMIS), Selangor Youth Community, Pemuda – GEMA, and IIUM Centre for Foundation Studies.
