Prof. Dr. Haslinda Abdullah is a Professor of Applied Psychology at the Department of Social and Development Sciences, Faculty of Human Ecology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She received her PhD from Institute of Work Health and Organizations, University of Nottingham, United Kingdom specializing in Applied Psychology. Since May 2000, she has taught various subjects and key areas of Psychology including Social Psychology, Theories in Social Psychology, Community Psychology and Psychology of Work. Currently her work are more focused on youth and development. Her credentials and knowledge on the Malaysian youth is reflected in her role as a member of the think tank for the Institute for Youth Research (IYRES), under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia. Her research also focuses on sexual and reproductive health and started during her attachment at Bronfenbrenner Centre for Translational Research, Cornell University as a visiting scholar in 2017. She was also an invited speaker for ‘Projek Amanat Negara XVI 2019’, by United Kingdom and Eire Council for Malaysian Students (UKEC) to talk on the future of Malaysian children. Under a Muslim women NGO (MPWIM), she was appointed to lead a panel of expertise to select future youth leaders. Outside of academic field, she is the president of Family Empowerment Society (FAME), an NGO that strives to tackle societal issues (regarding family) head-on. She is also a trainer for Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) in which she trained a group of prison officers from commonwealth country on youth. Her contribution was acknowledged by Malaysia Prison Department when she was given Pingat Bakti Setia in 2015.

 

Abd. Lateef (Steven Eric) Krauss, PhD, is a Professor with the Department of Professional Development and Continuing Education, Faculty of Educational Studies, and Head of the Youth and Community Well-Being Laboratory of the Institute for Social Science Studies(IPSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia. He received his PhD in Youth Studies from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2005, his M.S. in Social Work from Columbia University (USA) in 1998, and his B.A. in Political Science/Economics from the University of Delaware (USA) in 1994. He joined the Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM, in 2006. He currently serves as the Chief Editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Youth Studies (formerly the Malaysian Journal of Youth Studies), and is an Editorial Board member of Frontiers in Psychology, Pertanika Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Education Thinking. Dr. Krauss is also a member of the Qualitative Research Association Malaysia (QRAM), an Executive Board Member of the Asian Regional Association of Career Development(ARACD),and a member of the American Psychological Association’s (APA)Covid-19 Research Initiatives Task Force. Dr. Krauss’ approach to research reflects his commitment to the healthy development of all young people by building supportive ecologies for young people to thrive in schools, families and communities. His recent work has focused on maximizing developmental relationships in Malaysia, with a focus on youth-adult partnerships in schools and youth-serving organizations. His research has led to peer-reviewed publications in high impact journals (i.e., Journal of Youth and Adolescence, Youth & Society, American Journal of Community Psychology),books and book chapters. His research has been funded by the Spencer Foundation (USA), American Psychological Association(USA), the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, and Universiti Putra Malaysia

 

 

Assc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Zairul bin Mohd Noor is a Technologist, Graduate Architect, and Senior Lecturer at the UPM Serdang Faculty of Architecture. Dr Mohd. Zairul received his PhD from TU Delft from the Department of Management in the Built Environment in 2017. His research interests cover Flexible housing, Circular economy, Business model, Qualitative data analysis, ATLAS.ti, Open building, Mass Housing industry, Affordable housing, Industrialized building system (IBS), Modular / Prefab housing, Management in the built environment, and Architectural pedagogy. He is a certified professional trainer for ATLAS.ti. In 2022, he was appointed as the Head for the Cyber Generation Laboratory at IPSAS, UPM. He has a PhD in Management in the Built Environment, where he recommended a solution for a new business model for affordable housing in Malaysia. In 2018, he spent a semester as a visiting scholar at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, UK). He has published in publications, including Open House International (OHI) and Journal of Housing and the Built Environment, both SCOPUS-indexed Q1 journals (JOHO). He also serves on the editorial boards of numerous prestigious journals, including MDPI (Buildings), Journal of Housing and the Built Environment, International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, and a few more. He received various prizes at UPM, including best paper awards, top publication, copyright award, teaching, and excellent service award. He has conducted over 200 courses in various countries, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India using his own created teaching module and research workshops. Assc. Prof. Dr. Haliza Abdul Rahman holds a PhD. in the field of Environment and Development and a Master in the field of Environmental Management from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia and Head of the Youth in Leadership, Politics and Citizenship Laboratory, Institute of Social Science Studies (IPSAS) UPM. Previously, she has served as a Senior Lecturer for 8 years in the Environmental and Occupational Health Program, School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Health Campus, Kelantan. Her areas of expertise include Environmental Governance, Sustainability Science, Environmental Policy and Legislation, Environmental Management and Public Involvement in Environmental Related Issues. She has published extensive writing material in journals, books, chapters in books and newspapers.

Dr. Jeffrey Lawrence D'Silva is the Senior Research Officer at the Institute of Social Science Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia since 2009. He obtained his Doctorate in Development Education from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2007. His expertise is in the field of community well-being and quantitative data analysis. To date, he has been involved in 40 research projects at the university, national and international levels of which 8 projects as Project Leader. He is very active in the field of journal article writing and to date has produced more than 150 journal articles with h-index Scopus is 13. His excellence in this field showed him being appointed as an Associate Editor for the journal American Journal of Applied Sciences, Editorial Board Member for the journal International Journal of Business and Management, as well as Technical Editor for the journal Trends in Applied Sciences Research as well as the Journal of Applied Sciences. In addition, he is also active in writing his special books related to the well-being of the community. Dr. Jeffrey is also the founder of the IPSAS Consultancy & Training platform. Through this channel he has taught many statistical workshops involving SPSS software as well as providing a platform for other speakers to hold workshops related to research and publication.

Dr. Hayrol Azril Mohamad Shaffril is a Social Research Officer at the Institute of Social Sciences Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) since May 2008. In 2017, he obtained his PhD from UPM in rural development. His research areas are related to adaptation to the impact of climate change among agricultural communities, community readiness for natural disasters, the use of technology among communities, as well as highlights of systematic literature (SLR). To date, Dr. Hayrol Azril has been involved as a lead researcher and co-researcher in 82 research projects with various local and foreign agencies such as the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysian Multimedia Communications Commission, Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation, Selangor State Government, Department of Irrigation Malaysia, Malaysian Innovation Agency, Basmi Poverty Foundation, Yayasan Pengaman Malaysia, SEARCA, London School of Hygiene and WorldFish.  As of March 2022, he has published a total of 132 articles in the Scopus indexed journal and 43 articles in the WoS indexed journal. Dr. Hayrol is active as an evaluator for WoS indexed journals such as Science of the Total Environment, Natural Resources Forum, World Development and Information Develoment. He was appointed as an expert appraiser for the Handbook of Climate Change Management by Springer. In 2018, Dr. Hayrol was selected as the winner of the Vice-Chancellor's Fellowship Award for the best Journal Paper Publishing category in Social Sciences as well as the Young Researcher Award.
 

 

Dzuhailmi Dahalan holds a Bachelor's Degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia in Human Resource Development. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in 2002 and Diploma in Human Development in 1999 from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is a Social Research Officer at the Youth and Community Wellbeing Laboratory, Institute of Social Science Studies (IPSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is active and experienced in conducting youth development studies especially from the perspective of policy formation, well-being, program evaluation, entrepreneurship and others. During his 13 years of service, he has led a total of 3 research projects as well as co-researchers in 37 research projects from various sponsors. To date, a total of 45 journal articles, 8 book chapter articles, 29 seminar papers, 18 newspaper articles have been successfully published by him. At this point, he has 58 quotes with 5 H-index publications of the Scopus indexed journal as well as a total of 235 quotes with 9 H-indexes on the publication database (Google Scholar).
